Room 3's Calendar Art!

This week we have been learning about nets for 3D shapes. We have used templates of nets to create our own 3D shapes! We were given the challenge to create our own net for a 3D shape and turn it into a shape monster. We drew 2D shapes on coloured paper and cut them out for the arms, legs antennas, and wings to create the perfect shape monster. Soon, we are going to name our monster and identify the different types of angles and lines in our monster's name. Check out some of our 3D shape monsters.

Finished our first round of active learning! We had one group working with Mr Dobbin to create pencil cases out of wood, another group being creative with paper mache to create growth mindset brains, and the last group creating their own string art! Check out our final products!
