He Puna Kawenga

This week we have been looking at the pointillism technique used in art. First we learnt about what pointillism is (it's art work made up of only tiny dots!). We then looked at George Seurat's artwork, because he is a famous artist that used this technique all the time! Then we had a go at trying the technique ourselves! We can't wait to create our own artwork using this technique!       

In the past few weeks we have been learning and practicing the skills of Gymnastics! In our first lesson we learnt about balance. We talked about how we can make balancing easier by putting our arms out. We practiced this skill by using the straight lines on the astroturf and the balance beams and logs. In our second lesson we practiced safe landings. Here are some photos of us practicing our skills.

Over the term we have been looking at writing persuasive arguments. We have learnt about the correct structure to use and different language features to enhance our writing. Here are a couple of examples of our writing.
